The HKVP Foundation has now brought the Primary School to the coastal
village belt of Hejamady-Kodi in rural Karnataka. No child will be denied
primary education here and no child will have to stay away from school to
work as a child labour anymore.

training center to equip rural men and women with skills that can get them

Our school library is an indispensable and integral part of school learning process. Through various library activities our students are excited about coming to library and then sit back and explore the huge sea of learning. By laying special attention to book grading, library set up, book display, use of drawings and charts and incorporating library class, we could be able to make library fun place to go for our students.
Parents as Partners
Parents actively engage in the process of their child’s development through programs such as the Parents Committee, parent literacy classes, parent volunteerism and community-wide efforts to address key issues such as women’s empowerment, substance abuse, physical violence and others.

The school project took shape in 2011 by starting junior kindergarten (KG) with a small
batch of 22 students. A small premise of the Foundation was used to run the school. This
premise was used till 2014 by which time the school had classes up to the first standard
with 61 students enrolled.
The encouraging response the school received from the
parents prompted the Foundation to acquire an acre of land and construct new school
building.
Now, the school is operating through ground plus two floors school
building digitally equipped classrooms, modern library, computer and STEM laboratories, and
facilities for imparting physical education.
